MEET THE FOUNDER
I founded Blavia skincare in a quest to take charge of how look and feel. For as long as I can remember, my mother always told me to use a body moisturizer to maintain my skin hydrated and healthy. So, by the time I was in my early 20's I started to question why wasn’t I using a skin strengthening moisturizer to protect my skin and start complementing the loss of collagen we begin to experience, exactly at this age. And, caring for my skin, body, and mind in a preventive way has always been a personal wellness priority.
I grew up always connected to the sea and its immensity and strength inspired me in so many ways. The energy of its waves recharged me and its smell made me value more my present time. This is something I wanted to hold forever and it is a special reason why I started researching blue biotechnology. I fancied to be at home and continue experiencing the clean and mindfulness feeling of being close to the ocean.
Blavia is beauty and strength. The name origins go back to a town in France, a fortress that served for many years to protect the town from marine invasions and today, it is called the Blaye Citadel and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The name derives from “Bla” meaning warrior and “Via” meaning path- the best resemblance to our own skin, to a warrior mindset of strength, and to choosing to feel and be good, courageous, and gorgeous.
Blavia Skincare is inspired in thriving women committed to their well-being and work-life balance, on their own terms. Women who are fun, passionate, relentless, and who seek too, that bit of strength to keep up with their grind and stand up for their goals.
Committed to sustainability, we source our packaging from recyclable material. Our paper boxes are recyclable; and both the tubes and caps are manufactured with hazardous-free substance resins further certified by a third party laboratory in South Korea. This packaging consumes less energy and resources in the making and is lighter to transport, which results is reduced carbon footprint. The best way to protect the environment and conserve resources is to recycle all types of packaging after use. Our efforts and consumer sustainable practices are fundamental to our environment.
